If someone could pick 3 tunes that all of us musicians could practice before the rally, perhaps frog Bob would allow us to open for the real entertainment on Friday night?

My song choice would be "Back Home Again in Indiana".

Hey Larryo, love accordion music, a forgotten instrument that does it all, bass and harmony! There are many in closets, wish people would bring them out. I'm not a fan of musical get togethers at camp grounds mainly because I camp to get away from it all. And I'm kind of "guitared out" being a product of the 60s and bands consisting mainly of guitars. I also like the fiddle.

I keep a Taylor GS-Mini packed and ready to roll on every trip.
1. Cheatin' Heart, Cold Cold Heart, I Can't Help It . . .
2. Me and Bobby McGee
3. Hey, Hey
4. Johnny B. Goode
5. Love in Vain, 32-20, Crossroads
6. Cherry Bomb
7. I Fall to Pieces
8. Crazy
9. Here Comes The Sun, I Should Have Known Better, Help, Yesterday
10. Fire and Rain
11. Tears in Heaven, Change the World, Lay Down Sally
12. Kathy's Song
13. Mississippi Blues
14. I'm starting to look crazy now, so I'll stop. I play for an hour or so in the morning while the spouse gets ready and a couple of hours +or - each night for our 2-3 day trips. It wouldn't be camping without a guitar.

I am notorious in my circle of friends for my dislike of country music. Just not my cup of tea.
I've wanted to learn to play the bass guitar for some time now, and my wife got me one for Christmas. I thought it would be easy. NOT! Some bass lines are actually quite complex and nuanced.
I'm dithering on buying a 3 string cigar-box guitar. I have heard some filthy, nasty slide blues on one and I was instantly hooked.

I have a Martin D-21 that I've owned since 1968. I play at my campsite occasionally. I play with the Tarrant County Folk Music Society once a month, when I can get there. I played one night at a State Park and before I knew it we had a gathering of folks and we had a good time. The next morning the ranger asked me not to play again because someone 4 sites away complained. We quit well before midnight... some people just can't stand to see others have a good time. But I've played at the fire several times since then, and always have a few folks join me.
I play a lot of early Simon and Garfunkel, Gordon Lightfoot, Dan Fogelberg, John Denver, James Taylor, and the like, including a few written by Bob Dylan. It was interesting to see Kathy's Song mentioned in an earlier post... one of my favorites.

Music is the universal language. After spending years working with elderly nursing home residents I know that it is the one thing everyone recognizes and responds to, even those with other memory issues. Keep on strummin'

You are so right saying that music is a universal language.
My family from Quebec come every year to Maine, and when around a campfire, I strum my guitar playing French and English songs, and everyone is having a wonderful time ( A few drinks always help ).............
KThoms..............Keep on strumming and enjoy every moment of it !

Here I am in 1964 at the mic (52 years ago). I learned guitar by watching the band players
