A HUGE Thank you from Midwestgirl

I'm not sure where to post this; I just want to say THANK YOU so very much for the private messages of encouragement and support that I received today along with the sound advice from all who have helped answer my questions concerning our new 5ER.

Your kind words have just blown me away. Plus, I am feeling much more confident with the new knowledge of taking proper steps in leveling, hooking up and unhooking.

I'm committed to doing it all right...it's important for my husband to see the rest of this country before his time is up therefore the purchase of our new Crusader.
99% of the labor including towing falls on my shoulders. No worries I will do this for him. Finding this forum is a wonderful gift for me. The expertise and willing attitude to share is just what I need to be able to grant Jim's wishes. so...a huge thanks to all!

What a wonderful message. You, Midwestgirl, are the wife we all hope we have when that time comes. God Bless you and Jim... and the rest of us would be blessed to encounter you somewhere on the road.

MidWestGirl and Jim,

Former Air Force here - and indeed, my deepest thanks and gratitude to Jim for his service to our Country.

You, my Lady, and a gem. To see to it that Jim achieves his desire of seeing the country puts you in the top tier of caring spouses. My hat is off to you.

I am sure if you have any other questions we, as a community, can help you out. Not sure how you are going to remain in contact while on the road, but there are tons of campgrounds with free WIFI, tons of resturants and free WIFI hotspots. If you have alaptop, you are good to go!

If you do not, you may consider getting a tablet (my particular favorit is Apple's ipad) The ipad has a dedicated Forest Rivers App you can use to maintain communication with your new friends on the Forum

Best of luck to you two and godspeed!

Bob

Gosh, you guys and gals are amazing. We have met many people over the years...Jim was employed by Uncle Sam for 40 years and decided he had had enough! We LOVE our country just not the direction it's headed. At our age it's time to enjoy our days together and our beautiful kids and 8 charming grandchildren.
I am in close contact with family during our travels and they plan to fly in for Christmas! Safety is my priority on the road. Besides learning how to correctly use and maintain this 5ER I've taken classes for personal safety... This is NOT to start a discussion...but I BELIEVE in responsible gun ownership for both men and women in today's world.
My goal now is to help my husband enjoy this beautiful country. He loves to ride!!
Taking our mini home with us has been fun so far...issues and problems have introduced us to GOOD peeps across this nation. When we aren't traveling our home is in Minnesota!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving friends...life IS good. Even when it's not...one can still be grateful.
May you wake up every day thankful for another chance to get it right!!

That is a fantastic attitude!!! I do hope you remember that PA (Philly, Pittsburgh, Amish Country, etc) is a nice place to visit. If you do my family and I would be thrilled to meet you.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

And just to echo thank Jim and you for the service your family has done this country. No one serves alone.

Make God be on all you trips. Yes forum is hear to answer questions. We all had to learn as you are. Keep in mind that you can also ask campers at the site you are at. Most are willing to help you. I have also found that the camp host to be useful.
