AC quit, New?

My 5 year old AC is blowing hot air on my Silverback. Think I should try to get this one fixed or just get a new one.

I don't think they can be serviced other then replace parts that don't work. No ports to add Freon.

Ports can always be added............but why did the refridgerant leave and where, and when does the cost outweigh the benefit?

Well looks like good news kinda. I was checking things out moved wires around on the thermostat and around the control box and the darn thing started working. Looks like a bad connection somewhere and not a freon or compressor problem.

That happens a lot with these since they bounce sound going down the road. Good you found a loose connection. Shame you did not know which one to tighten though!

My control box went on my trailer, went to the local trailer sales and got a new control box and it upgraded to digital thermostat. Put the new box and thermostat in by myself and it worked great. On mine the compressor tried to keep running after the fan shut off and the only way to stop it was to trip the breaker.
