Ok................this thread did it. I went out today and climbed up and removed the 4 inches of crusty snow and ice off the cover. Took over an hour to take the cover off.Put the battery in and plugged it in. Opened it up and put out the slides. Turned on the fireplace and just sat there in heaven. Since we've not used it yet it was just like getting a brand new one all over again!! All of you talking about sitting in yours just got me all fired up. I looked at the FR1 water filter and figured out the parts I need to remove and bypass it. I measured the size of the screen door panels so I can pick up the lexan. It seems so good to get it open and get going on the mods and setting up for our trip.

IF, you can't find the correct size, a table saw cuts it good without toasting the edge. Leave the protective on till done and marking for mount holes will magicaly (spell.) disappear!!

I did it a lot during the summer, before I had central air in the house.

On warm spring days, I sneak over to ours and take a nap. When the wife asks, I respond "just doing a little work."

Exactly my excuse to travel the 10 miles to where ours is stored. We've even stayed overnight in it surrounded by farm equipment parked next door on the farm owned by our best friends. They think we're a little weird wanting to stay in their equipment shed instead of the comforts of their home, but understand we want to look out over their beautiful lake and woods located in wine country along the Missouri River. Couldn't be a more perfect place to get away, visit friends and not have to travel so far.

I refer to tt as my summer home and sleep out there every night from May -October whether on the road or in it's spot in my yard. TT has a/c, house doesn't. Campings camping,to each his own.😊
