Advice for new Forest River RVer?

I am in the process of buying a preowned 2007 Flagstaff 831 FKSS travel trailer. I have some questions I hope someone can help me with. The unit originally had some pullout drawer-type storage trays in the exterior staorge area. They are missing--- can someone tell me where I can get replacements?

Also, I do not know whether the A/C unit is a 13.5k or 15k. Either way, do you think it will keep the trailer cool in the south Texas heat? BTW, it has R-7, R-12, R-14 insul factors. I am wondering If I will need to supplement the A/C to avoid being miserable in the summer heat.

Any advice on obtaining an owner's manual?

Most people remove the (TRAYS) from the storage areas, lost storage with them in place. Youroo!!

You will need a 15k AC in the Texas heat. Even then, when temps reach near 100º the AC will work hard to keep up.

I agree about the tray and the A?C.. I left the short one in the right front but removed the long one in the pass thru compartment. We ordered out 829fks with the larger ac and it has no problem keeping up with 90 degree temps..

these camper are insulated with styrofoam on all four sides kinda like a styrofoam cooler mine stay very cool in the summer heat but dont live in Texas but it gets plenty hot here in indiana and i been told it feels like a meat locker in there i love it like that also mine is a 15000 BTU unit

Welcome to the forum! You will want the 15K unit if you plan on using it much in 100*+ weather. We have the 15K AC and when our trailer is in the sun in temperatures above 100*, the AC will keep the trailer comfortable, but it will run continuously on high. I don't think the 13.5K unit would be able to keep up.
