Air conditioner

We have a new 2018 Wildcat 32wb and live in Texas. On our first trip I was extremely disappointed in the cooling unit's inability to cool. Has anyone else experienced an issue?

Hello. I assume you have a 30+ ft RV with a single a/c? In Texas heat?
You will prolly struggle in the heat...I know we did. There are many things you can do to help and the search feature will be your friend. We had the most trouble setting up the evening heat and getting it cooled off before bedtime with kids going in and out, prepping food, etc.
I will do a search and link in case you are unfamiliar with the search feature.

Based on my experience, if you do not have any shade, the trailer will get hot when the sun is beating down on it on hot days. I have also found that when the humidity is high, the ac really struggles. It cools noticeably better in low humidity even with the same outside temp. I try to find a site that is shaded if at all possible, that makes a huge difference.

Unfortunately, as commonplace as mosquitoes here. If you have the 15K Btu AC, the pimp my AC link is valid for yours too, as I have done. Many have painted the skylight if so equipped and added foam blocks to all skylight and vent openings. I did both. I have two of the maxxair vent fans which I run for about 15 min. while setting up to suck out the heat. I also have a circulating fans setting on the floor in each room pointing at the ceiling. All together, it make it tolerable here, but when its over 92 degrees it gets real challenging ... especially in Tx. Some go the reflectix route over the windows. I don't have experience with that product, but many on here tout its effectiveness.
