If you have a Dometic digital thermostat, make sure it is in "auto". See page 10 and 11 of manual.....

It does have a thermostat
But even when its on the off position it still runs in the fan mode
The unit does not recognize it

Someone told me the circuit board in the unit is toast
That perhaps a lightning strike caused it
Not sure just wondering if I was the only one with this problem or had anyone else had similar issues

Fonzie is not talking about the on off switch he's referring to the on/auto switch for the fan.

I understand that
But when you turn the thermostat to the off position it will continue to run
I did turn it to auto it doesn't recognize any commands from thermostat
Including fan speeds
Took the thermostat from other unit in the coach and swapped them still no different

Ok good.
Well in that case I believe there's a fan relay and it may be stuck.
Maybe someone has a parts break down of your a/c to check.
What is the make and model of your a/c?

Pretty hard to prove lightning!

Tell them its under warranty and you want it fixed!

I could see maybe lightning would be the case if several electronics were ruined but that's not the case.

I'd suggest a new dealer if they won't just jump in and fix it.

Well it got the one in the main coach too

Could it be possible that it was a voltage spike ?
If you don't already have one I'd suggest an http://www.progressiveindustries.net/ems_hw50c.htm unit for your coach.

Yes hardwired is the answer.
I installed mine behind my distribution center.
