All Weather cover help RW TT 2702SS

I have a Rockwood 2702SS on order, I do not know the actual length of the trailer, rear bumbper, later spare tire to front not including the bottles and tongue, can anyone help me?

Looking at the Tyvek ADCO cover like to save a little $$ and get it before the new rig arrives.

don't see the specific info for your model but here is what I found on the FR website:

I would think it would be very similar to the 2701SS model. 32FT 6IN, i would go with a cover that fits a 33 footer.

Unfortunately I have found the FR website not to be a reliable source of (updated) information. My dealer gave me a copy of the mid-2010 Rockwood brochure and it includes the specifications below.

If you don't mind waiting til next weekend, that's when I'll get our 2702SS, I will give you precise dimensions.

I would wait until it get there and measure the 'BOX'. You don't want one to big or obviously to small. Those covers work well.

Yes I guess unless someone has the 2702 2701 and can measure it for me. I see the length listed above 31 ft 9 inches but does this include the bottles and hitch??

I only need the length of the rear to front of trailer only...

thanks

Ours is an 831RLSS, listed at 31 feet. That INCLUDES the hitch. My 'BOX' was only 29 feet, I bought a 29 foot cover and it fit GREAT, it even covers the rear spare and the propane bottles.
Good luck.

Kip here are some of the measurements you were looking for. Let me know what you find/decide to get, maybe I get the same one.

  • Between wheels (w/aluminum wheels option): 2.5"
  • Ground to bottom of rear bumper: 21"
  • Ground to top of rear bumper: 25" (that would make the bumper 4" sq)
  • Ground to bottom of jack: approx 14" (an estimate, jacks are currently down, TT is nice and solid, don't want to mess with it)
  • Outside of spare tire to TT back wall: 19"
  • Ladder step to TT back wall: 7" (by the way, the ladder has a sticker stating it is rated for 300llbs. According to the dealer, since the bumper is theoretically the first step of the ladder that should make the bumper also rated for 300lbs)
  • TT box, just the box, excluding bumper, bottles, tongue, back wall to front wall: 336.5" (28.5')
If you want the cover to include the spare tire, add the 19" to the length of the TT. If you are going to remove the spare tire prior to covering it and you have the ladder, then add 7" to the length. Let me know if you need anything else or need clarification on any of these measurements.

Correction, 336.5" is 28' .5"

How do you like the 2702SS. Thinking about ordering one but would love to see the inside before I do.
