Almost ready to purchase!!!

Hi all!! Im new here
Anyways... We are about to purchase our first travel trailer ever.. There is just 3 of us...(and a dog) weve decided to go with the 2017 forest river wildwood 195BH.. Weve searched numerous models, compared, etc.. Im afraid to say our favorite was a jayco bc I know thats better built..better made...etc..
and it wasn't about price.. It was a $700 difference.. The space in the wildwood is MUCH better than the Jayco.. Ceiling height..width..everything.. Anyways.. We are THIS close to the wildwood being ours... Thoughts? (Please dont say get the jayco..lol) feedback if ya already own? Tips? Anything before We head out this weekend with check in hand.. Thanks for any info you would find helpful to new RV owners

Very similar layout to ours...slightly larger. We love it!

my stepdaughter has the Wildwood 195BH, and they love it. I wouldn't say Jayco is better. They have gone down hill over the last several years.

Jayco you mean? When you saying gone down hill past few years? I googled forest river reviews..and couldnt read.. i wouldnt purchase if I do and we definitely like the space much better in the wildwood..

Yes, Jayco has gone downhill. The Wildwood is what my stepdaughter has.

Welcome! We have the salem cruise lite 195bh which is the same thing. We've done a few mods and there is a great thread in the salem forum for all 195bh owners with tips and mods a lot of folks have done.

It's a great trailer for the 3 of us, I'm sure you'll love it too.

I go to most of the plants regularly and I would not say that Jayco is better built.

I guess it depends on tow vehicle, but seems like similar but with two axles could be had for relatively small additional cost offering more stability and far better load capacity with similar lay out and a bunch more trailer.

A friend of mine bought the Wildwood (I think 195 BH - It has the bunkbeds). They wish they had bought a bigger trailer and also wished they had the double axle. Sort of depends on your tow vehicle I guess as mentioned.

Are you saying the jayco is better built/better made? I dont think you will have anyone here (with the exception of probably 3 people) tell you to get the jayco. Not totally against jayco but in my opinion they are not anywhere near what they used to be.
