And Here's Another Thing I always Forget

The water pump doesn't work when hooked up to shore power!

So I'm out there sanitizing the water system and want to pump the solution through the lines, turn on the water pump and wonder what's broken now!

I always forget that.

Now where are my glasses. Honnneeeyyyyy!

Pump vs. shore power?

Yeah, really.. .mine works when plugged in to shore power.

Maybe I should post up in the Sunseeker section. Maybe in the motorhome section. Would be good to get a better idea of how that works.

Unless they have a relay that disconnects the pump when plugged in (which I've never heard of), it should work just like it does not plugged in.

Just because you have power doesn't mean that you're going to have public water.

Do you open the battery disconnect when you're on shore power?

My water pump works on shore power. It's 12 volts.... even my 12 volt lights work on shore power. [emoji1787]

All the 12V items in your unit, pump included, run off the battery. When you are on shore power the only thing that does is allow you to use 120VAC items AC, etc. and it constantly charges your battery. I have a 2016 Forester and they are quite similar. There is no reason your pump shouldn't work when you are connected to shore power. Unless, you turned the battery disconnect to off.

Possible answer.

I think it was "city water", and not shore power that was intended.
