And so it begins....

DH washed the TT yesterday and I started on the inside. It's amazing how dusty, etc. the thing gets from just sitting for a few months. While cleaning the free-standing table, I noticed the glue joint is opening up on the table top. My dealer will get a call today to rectify this, hopefully with a new table.

Then DH decided to un-winterize. Really? On March 25th? Being the skeptic I am, I'm wary of doing it this early. But if we're going to go camping for Eastern weekend, it has to be done. Guess I'll be praying to the weather gods.

I share your trepidation on the de-winterizing. We are MN neighbors. I typically don't de-winterize until mid May!! I hope you don't get a sharp freeze. The nice weather gives you spring fever and the urge to get out camping doesn't it?

I know what you mean about de-winterizing this time of year. That's what I did over the weekend while the DW reloaded the camper with everything we took out last fall. Last season was our first so we learned there are a few things we took with us that we never used so they are not making the first trip of the season. Easter weekend we are heading south to Lake Texoma.

Lube the axel fittings, sanitized the water system, checked tire pressures, refilled propane and everything lit like it was supposed to, fridge is cooling down. All I need now is for April 5 to get here.

We compromised and opended the slides to allow DW to do some cleaning and sit around out there and enjoy the warmth. Dewinterizing will still wait till end of April, I will however install the power tongue jack with 30amp cct breaker and remote disable, Blue Sea battery cutoff and remote power awning controller as well as my wheel well modification to prevent blowout damage. Also taking my wheels in and having steel valve stems installed then balanced with the TPMS sensors installed and the tires refilled with Nitrogen.

A guy has to do SOMETHING! I've been out there too. TPMS installed. New tires. Standing there looking at the trailer and other equally productive stuff!!

I've turned the heat on for a couple nights a few years ago
Just so I knew it was safe.
This time of year one low might be 28 and the next 3
40 .

Yep! Our trailer is stored 60 miles away at our hobby farm so I'm "conservative" on the de-winterizing. You guys should be a good 3 weeks ahead of us here; being down in Iowa.

Forecast for the next 10 days - 3 nights in the 30's and 7 in the 40's.

Totally unrelated -but has anyone figured out how to get the screens out of the windows on the ends of the slides? The other screens are easily removed, but I can't figure out the two small windows without just yanking them out, and most likely breaking them. I'd post photos, but I'm not at home right now.
