Angry Animals getting into rooftop Air conditioner

I have a 2016 Forrest River Sandpiper 376 BHOK with 2 air conditioners. I have only been able to enjoy it once. I have it parked in my backyard. I went out to it after being parked for about 2 weeks and found black foam and animal urine all over the bed and the kitchen floor. It turns out that some kind of animal was able to get thru the holes around the bottom of the plastic cover that covers both the Dometric air conditioners. They ate thru both foam covers and then proceeded to chew thru the insulation on the outside of almost every wire. I am waiting for Monday to call Forrrest River and Dometric to see what they can do for me. I can't believe that they didn't make the holes smaller and the have to make more, but then animals wouldn't be able to get in there to cause so much damage. Any ideas on what I should do? Anybody else have this problem?

Call your insurance company first. Sounds like a real nasty critter. Unless you cure the situation, i'm guessing it's going to happen again. At least set up a game camera to get a picture of the critter, that will tell you what your dealing with. Just sayin'
