Another Bike rack question

I have the factory flip down travel rack on my TT. The only redeemable feature that I see in it is that is holds my spare tire. It is well put together and a steel box was welded to the frame for it.

I do not like the idea of using it as when in use the spare sticks out further than anything and it can get some exaggerated bounce.

I would like to find another kind of setup that mounts the same way in order to carry the spare and bikes for the G-Kids. Has anyone seen such an alternative?

Try something like this for the spare tire.
Adnik 28216B Spare Tire Carrier | eBay

That rack is plenty strong for bikes or about any thing else. There should be a sticker with weight rating of 450#. I had one on my other 5er and carried a generator and aluminum tool box on it.

You could add some bolt on plates to the frame in front of the bumper and add struts from the plates to the end of the rack.
