ANTS ??

Maybe kinda early in the year, but I have a question. How do the campers eliminate ants ? We went camping at the Charlottesville KOA for a few days last week. After day 2 discovered ants in the pantry. We did place food items in there and we are certain we did not bring them from home. All foods items were in zip lock bags or a tupper ware type on container. All the shelves in the pantry have ant traps. When I set the Windjammer at the site, the entire area to include jacks and anything else that has ground contact is sprayed for ants. After the camping trip all food items are removed. The shelves are cleaned and ant free. What do others do ? Is this just a loosing battle.?? I feel my camper is cleaner than my home. The storage area where the camper is stored is also sprayed. Ant suggestions ? Thanks in advance-

They may be living back inside your walls or floor put out some ant bait the kind they take back to the nest that should stop the problem, I have done that in the past.

That's a thought, they only show up when there is food.

As mentioned, Terro will draw them out and kill them.

We also found and used an organic killer that we used inside for any that we saw.

And then, to prevent them from entering- we buy the most gnarly hate-filled spray that we can find and spray anything that touches both the ground and the camper (tires, stabilizers, hoses, etc.).

As E-daddy mentioned, spraying around anything that touches the ground does wonders. After our first trip to Florida dealing with ants, we learned our lesson.

Just be aware, it's not an instant process. I kept having to explain to my wife that it would take 4-5 days to rid ourselves of the ants. By the end of day 2 and into day 3, she was ready to set fire to the whole kit and kaboodle!
