I hope you find this helpful. I originally posted it several months ago but to my surprise it didn't receive any response.
About three years ago, after reading a news report of a mechanic taking a customers vehicle for a125mph 'test drive' along some country lanes in the UK, I discovered the RoadHawk Total Event Data System. This is a camera, much like a police dash cam, that records what is ahead of you, your speed, direction, G-forces applied to the vehicle and maps it all on google maps when played back through your computer. It will also record the sound inside the vehicle if you so wish. These are becoming ever more popular in the light of 'cash for crash' incidents where innocent drivers are being wrongly blamed for collisions. They (or other similar devices) were also responsible for capturing many of the recent video images of the meteor that came through the atmosphere in Russia, where these sorts of camera are even more popular.
Since purchasing the original RH-1 model, which I still use on a daily basis in one of my vehicles, I have also purchased the RH-2 which also records what is taking place inside the vehicle as I am driving. Useful if I was to be accused of distracted driving. This I have placed in my second vehicle. As I live a relatively un eventful lifestyle, the only footage I have captured of any value to me was a deer running across the road in front of me and then colliding with my vehicle. Unfortunately I believe I inadvertently deleted my copy of it from my computer. Anyway, for those who like me, love their toys and wish to have some evidence to support them in the advent of an incident, here is the link to the company website.

They will export, I know because I bought 20 for our company fleet and had them shipped to Canada. The GBP is now at an all time low against the U$ so now would be a great time to buy for those who feel the need. I have no personal or commercial links to this company or any of its products and I only bring it to this forum because I am somewhat surprised there is very little to no mention of these in the North American continent.
Since posting my original note, my DW successfully 'stacked' the RH - 1 equipped minivan into the back of an F150. I have the recording for posterity and leverage if she feels the need to pick an argument😀.
