Anyone using this powerpack?

This looks interesting, I am wondering if anyone is using one of these, looks like iy could run a cpap or some lights or not sure what else while on the road or boondocking or when you can't run the geny after hours.

It says it's 15amps out, but doesn't say for how long.

Umm, there is a powerpack usually on front of your camper called a 12 volt battery.

You can get an inverter for 120 volts AC or use a dc-dc converter to get desired voltage for your CPAP (which is what we did).

UM no kidding! I'm a retired Porsche/Audi Technician so I have heard about the battery in front of the camper!

I saw this on another forum and guys are running a heat gun with it, this would only fit some special circumstances, for instance, we go to the peninsula in Erie after check out and park/boon dock near the trail, I used my a/c inverter to watch the Steeler game, but the voltage was getting low near the end of the game. If I had the power pack I could just power the whole camper, it might work for the short time I need it 4-7 hours with minimal use. I would not be able to run a genny where we like to park.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with using one of these, I could also use it once in a while for my business.

Have you looked into a small portable solar setup and 2 sets of 200ah golf cart batteries wired in parallel/ series, or lithium ion batteries. You would benefit better from this.

Yes, I thought about solar, would have trouble getting those cart batteries in my drills, and the lithium batteries are pricey in my opinion.

This is a multiple use item, that is why I mentioned it, again, just wondered if any one had any experience with it. For what I need actually just adding a battery to my rig would probably work.

I am waiting until mine dies and then will get a matching pair unless I find an alternative.

If you ad this to an already converted dual battery set up it would give you some extra time, and you would have use of the batteries in off camping season.

That was the part that I couldn't figure out- how long would this thing last with a few of their 20v lithium batteries.

this is a ruff estimate

10 x (Battery Capacity in Amp Hours)
(Load power in Watts)
= Run time in hours
10 * 4/100= .4 hours /2 for 50% battery = .2 hours

not very long at 100watt load

looks like it's for an option for contractors who need a 120v tool and no handy electrical nearby.... doubtful it's useful for very long, though, but could come in handy for some in special situations, or in place of hauling around a larger, heavier generator for something that can be done fairly quickly.

I doubt you'll find anyone on these forums that have used anything like this, it just doesn't jive with the needs of RVrs... unless they're a contractor : )

Hmmm, here is my ruff estimate, someone let me know where I went wrong...:
Based on the batteries that come with the kit, (it looks like you could add more).
3 - 4ah batteries = 12ah
1 - 6ah battery = 6ah
Total = 18ah @ 20v dc
Total Power = 18ah x 20v = 360wh
100w per hour = 360wh / 100w = 3.6 hours

There will be losses from invertering 20vdc to 120vac so it will be less but that is my ruff estimate in a ruff estimate perfect world.
