Atlantic City RV show

I mentioned this in another thread but I am wondering if anyone attended the Atlantic City RV show this past weekend.

We went but couldn't find a place to park our RV. The nearby lots did not allow motorhomes.

Good Sam said we could park in one of those lots but that lot has a maximum length of 15 feet for vehicles.

Atlantic City RV show

We attended the AC RV show regularly as we live about 10 mins from AC. There are very limited flat lots in the area. In the future there is a flat lot located across the street from the Bass Pro Shop/ Wave garage that they store boat trailers in.

That is good to know but in the winter I would prefer to be closer to the convention center.

I saw some spots on the Baltic Av. nearby but I was not sure if I could legally park there. i didn't see any signs restricting parking there but I didn't want to take a chance.

Thanks for the info.

I went to the show and it cost $15.00 to park a car. What would they have charged for an RV. Got a discount for two of the four tickets I bought. My son came in his own car. Total $30.00 for tickets $30.00 for parking and they wanted $8.00 for a hot dog and $4.00 for water. Just to look. Last show I go to there.

I would think Parking your motor home in AC and getting a parking ticket would be the lest of your problems

Best parking is at the NJ Transit Egg Harbor City station. Its 2 stops from AC and lets you off in the convention center. Cost is $3 one way adult. Parking lot is large open space that can handle large MH. Parking is free!

I didn't want to mention the crime if thst is what you are implying but it was my primary concern. I have been jumped before there but now I am a little more careful.

I knew the cost of parking a car. I figured the food cost would be outrageous but after reading your post I consider myself lucky to have missed the show.

I hope I remember that.

Any idea if they raise the parking rate for the air show like all the lots in the city?

Lot remains free regardless of event. NJ Transit encourages using their lots and taking the train in.

Atlantic City RV Show

I live about 40 mins from AC and I wouldn't go back to the AC RV show, the show is small and if your looking for vendors or a great deal on a new RV you won't find it there, the best show I have ever been to is the Hershey PA show, I have been in Florida traveling around and attended numerous shows, they have a lot of small shows here also I missed the Tampa show. Most of the shows I have attended here have free parking but they charge to get into the show, if it wasn't for the free parking I would't go at all they are not really worth the money they charge to get into the show.

I was wondering if the show was any better. I drove out there a few years ago for the show, about 2 hours, and I think I spent about 2 hours in the show... Plus parking and an expensive meal for two.

This weekend is the Timonium RV show in MD, I went last year and the year before. Very nice show and PLENTY of large vehicle parking.

I didn't know about the Timonium show this weekend. I will try to get there.

Thanks.

And this is the reason AC is failing, the are gouging their way to the end!

AC show is always small and they have little to no RV accessory vendors, they make you walk thru a gauntlet of home improvement vendors who hound you. There are a few campgrounds, but other then seeing the new models there isn't much else. We go as a night out, and didn't buy either of our 2 rv's we have at the show.
