Amazon will also price dependent on your search. If you put it in your cart and wait most time price will drop for you to entice you to hit buy button.

Keep in mind....if you use Amazon Prime, you will be billed $10.99 per month forever, if you don't cancel after the 30 day free trial period. That's why the prices are lower on certain items at various times. Prime is a ripoff, unless one buys lots of stuff on Amazon!

No chit. Got lasso'd into that one time and got a charge on my card I did recognize so I charged it back. That pizzed Crapazon off big time.

Have to be careful what you 'mouse over' on the site.

I'll wait a week, don't need 2 day shipping and I don't need those lower prices either, I shop around.

One thing I always watch on Amazon is if it's an 'authorized' seller or it's 'Amazon'. Amazon always equals sales tax, 'authorized seller, no tax.

I never impulse by anyway. I'm retired.

"Start your 30-day free trial,
After your free trial Amazon Prime is just $99/year.
Cancel anytime."

you must know about an Amazon Prime membership different from the one that millions of us have, .... our Prime memberships can be canceled at any time, .... the two day shipping has served us well, .... because of it, on more than two occasions while traveling, we've ordered necessary items and had them delivered to the cg where we were at that time, even when we were only going to remain there for just another few days, ....

yes, our Amazon Prime membership has it's price(and benefits), but everything does and we're willing to pay it, ... even your Prime NON-membership has a price(and benefits)and you're willing to pay it, ....... so I guess it comes down to "whatever floats your boat", .....

Amazon Prime video alone is worth the price of the subscription. If you buy a lot, then the free 2 day shipping is hard to beat, too.

This digital hybrid generator is on sale for 532.

Champion Power Equipment 100302 3500W Digital Hybrid RV Ready Portable Generator with Quiet Technology https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M3R711N..._Hxsezb5J93HDZ

I'm tempted to buy one even though I just bought a dual fuel 7500 watt.

I call BS on Champion.
This so-called "hybrid" generator is only 4db quieter, than the regular non-hybrid 3500 model that costs $300.
64db vs 68db. They state it's 50% quieter than other 3500w generators. How is that true when it's only 4db quieter than their own.
Still too loud for campground usage.

This generator is the first misstep that I've seen Champion make.

I agree with you Dan.

Notice how it bears a striking resemblance to a Yamaha 2800I? Lots cheaper though. The 2800I lists for 1200 bucks, I had one.

The 2800 I and this one are way too loud for campground use but so is his dual fuel he already owns. NASCAR races, no problem. everyone is loaded anyway and the race is noisy. Campground, no way.

I will say that the Champ has a lower 'claimed' THD (3%) than a Honda of comparable power (4%) but it's only a claim, just like RV ready. Maybe fine for an RV in a remote location but not in a populated campground (neither unit).

The only truly 'quiet' units are the Inverter, totally enclosed ones, any brand will do. Not an open cradle unit.

Isn't going from 68 to 64 db much more than the 6 percent or so that just the numbers would show because the db scale is algorithmic? I could be wrong. Jay

People need to quit being dazzled by price only and get to the reality of noise produced and what is acceptable and what isn't.

Didn't do good in math, spent too much time looking at the teachers legs.... she had a nice pair...

I do, do good at comparing how much racket generators make between a totally enclosed inverter and an open cradle one. I've had / have both.

In acoustic theory every 3 db gain = doubling of the volume and vice versa. In the real world human perception comes into play.

Being a wannabe guitar player if I play through one of my amps at X db, then increase it by 3 db on the soundecibelometer I have, it's quite a difference. I'd say the difference 64 to 68 is between volume needed to play a Toto song, compared to what is needed to play a Motorhead song almost. Just ask my wife, she is the volume police LOL.

Yeah the dual fuel is for use at home only. It's too darn heavy to drag around. Maybe if I had a passle of kids to haul it around for me but I've only got one and he's scrawny.

It'll work well to power the 5er at home though (I live on 10 acres in a rural area). And it can run my fridge and well if power goes out.

One note about the Hybrid. I looked at one the other day and they are less noisy than my current open frame 3500 gen. This is because it will operate in lower rpm mode. However, at full rpm under max load I doubt that it is any quieter than mine. Didn't get to hear it wide open so I'm not 100% sure but that is what I suspect. I would be interested in a 8500 watt hybrid for home backup. It would be neat to have a generator that could run the house without being wide open all day.

Seems like a good deal but must be in store only. I don't see it on the Costco web site.

I think it is. I happen to come across it. I originally had been planning on buying something else but for the price I just jumped on it. They are probably closing the item out.
