Awning

We have a new (2019) Gray Wolf 29 TE and when the awning is extended the struts are hanging so low that they are a hazard for walking around. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

Some pictures might help, but I suspect that it's normal. Those RV's aren't very tall so the awning arms are going to be pretty close to the ground when deployed.

Get some short sections of pool noodles, cut them open down one side, slide them over the part that you bonk your head on.

We use the pool noodles and also hang a little camper wind chime on the rail at the low point - seems to help a little. Our TT isn't particularly low but depending on the site and if you have to level the trailer, it can get just the right height for head whacking.

I gained a little height by adjusting for minimum awning slope. Hope the designer has moved on to better things
