This is why I use the black tank flusher to fill the black tank 2-3 times to completely rinse the tank after emptying the tank.

I did, actually. I left the flush run for 2 minutes with the valve open. Then twice, I closed it and filled the tank with 5 minutes of water via the flush.

I just apparently didn't close the valve fully when I was done.

We all know the saying... poo happens. We can all imagine how bad it would have been without the elbow at the next stop so great preparation.

The clear valve helped me know there was a problem but I think the only true clean remediation is a end of line valve.

I thought "what if I had one of those caps with the hose connection?" but the end result would have been the same- gloved poo hands to get the smaller cap off.

Yooroo's garbage bag idea is a good one.
