Ditchdrigger is correct. A wide space between the lead and trailing tire puts a tremendous side force on the trailing tires during a tight turn. You can literally tear the tires from the rim if there is over a prescribed (my 2004 , 34' Cedar Creek has 2") amount of distance between the front and rear tire. It's all balanced in such a way to impart the proper amount of tongue/hitch weight.

I have a small/medium size trailer. It will fit under virtually all drive thru roofs. (drive thru as in gas station not MickyDs)
Yours may not. I can loop thru WallyWorld- you probably shouldn't.
I can drive thru 99% of camp grounds with caution and be OK. You can't.
If it's raining and cold I have to "lounge on the bed" you can sit in your his and her swivel loungers and watch big screen TV/movies and enjoy the fireplace. I can't.

Not sure what you're complaining about-- If you buy a Lincoln don't expect to park it in the compact car parking spaces.....

I not complaining, just stating that spacing out the axles on a trailer can cause some really problems, especially three + axle trailers.

Three axles on a trailer doesnt mean squat,except vastly improveing ride quality (of the trailer) and makeing for a sweet towing rig (if the trailer is built right).My wife and I pulled a three axle race boat trailer that was 32' long all over the and parts of canada with a class C motorhome.Never had a tire problem or running gear problem.Its not what you do,its how you do it.I'd feel a lot more confident with my 315WP if it had another axle under it.

I have a 37 Ft. 5th Wheel. The axels are so close I can only get two fingers inbetween. I cannot get my x-chocks in. When in Goshen this past Aug. I asked a Lippert tech. why this was the case. He looked underneath and responded my springs were flat. No explanation as to what to do about it. They are 6000# axles. Totaol rated wt. of trailer is about 14250#. I understand some of that weight goes on the pin. It is now at the factory (second winter in a row) to have side wall cracks repaired and look into this issue. Have not heard what if anything they will do about it. I do know that the Columbus factory imstalles the axles at their shop. They do not come installed from Lippert. So Im thinking maybe Lippert put the wrong springs on the 6000# axles, OR (dont know how) Columbus interchanged springs. BUT it is frustrating not being able to use the x-chock. All I need is one more inch.

I think Aquaman had his axles replaced in goshen and I could be wrong but they may have been heavier?
He has a sierra.

Ps my sabre tires are very close as well but I have good arch in my springs.
