Update to all the folks who posted and viewed this thread...
I am home and not too much the worse for wear! It turns out the tonsillectomy diet does NOT include Rum (it's that pesky Acetaminophen they give you--that + ETOH = blown liver...shoot, Acetaminophen alone can mean a blown liver...that is some scary pain med!!)
Still have that pain between my shoulders - doc said I would have that for about a week. Other than that, taking it easy and watching the Master's this weekend.

Just saw this thread. Glad all is going well. Don't let the pain get ahead of you. Keep that Tylenol (acetaminophen) to less than 4000 mg per day and your liver should be fine.
