Backup System

Can anybody please tell me- will this system mount and wire up on my existing Furrion bracket on the back of my RV? I've read that it's a better system than the Furrion. Any comments? Thank you.

No. Well....not completely anyway. You wouldn't be able to use the existing mounting kit from the looks of it. Even if it fits in the space, the Furion unit has the antenna on the side and it looks like that unit is dead center. Wiring it up would be easy enough. The Furion unit just uses a headphone jack type of connector. At worst, you just cut off the connectors and splice away. If I were going to attempt it, I'd remove the factory kit from the trailer and install the new one in the same spot then splice the power wires and make sure everything is sealed really well.

It's easy to remove the existing mount and splice into the FR supplied power wire. If the existing holes where the factory put the mount are exposed after your new installation just put stainless screws in them. Looks like they're supposed to be there. If the factory screwed up the Furrion mount install (mine had eight holes because they moved the mount) you'll have to come up with something else.

The Voyager seems really expensive to only have a 900p resolution. For that price I'd expect 1900p or more.

Thanks you guys. I think I'll just go ahead with the Furrion. Plug and play and done.

Make sure you get the 'observation' camera and not the 'back-up' camera.

Many reports of the back-up camera having poor performance.
