Bad Paint

Anyone have problems with paint or decals peeling off of their trailer? My 2012 Cherokee Wolfpack 27WP did this this winter. Of course Forrest River will not do anything because it is out of the 1 year warranty period. I'm very disappointed and will never buy from them again.

Did you have a tarp covering it? Tarp plus wind equals paint rubbing off every time. Sorry to hear

This is not only a Forest River issue but all of the RV industry problem. My 2010 318SAB Cougar built by Keystone that I traded in on a new 2016 Cedar Creek 34RL is much worst than your pictures that you just posted.

Have you contacted Forest River and see if you can purchase new decals? I tried to do this with Keystone and I had no luck but from what I have read on this forum is that Forest River is much more responsive.

No tarp. Stored uncovered the same way each of the past 3 years. Never had an issue until this year.

I contacted Forrest river about the paint. Here is what was sent and their reply:

Me: I am wondering what the paint/decal warranty is on your product? My 2012 27WP has paint and a decal peeling off on the front. I am attaching photos. It was fine when I winterized it for the winter. It is on my property and was not exposed to chemicals or damaged by other means.

Calvin Folk (Forrest River Warranty Rep): One year from date of purchase. DOP was 4-27-12 Warranty ended on 4-27-13

I was thinking about getting a local graphics store to cover it up, but I may just keep it the way it is to advertise for Forrest River's lack of paint quality. Any company worth a hoot would fix it whether it is in or out of the one year warranty. This is just bad paint and prep!
