For comps we do a 17lb or so brisket, two 9lb pork butts and 4 racks of saint louis ribs, all in that Humphrey. Lot of rack space, heavy as hell but it's all steel tube framed, should last a lifetime, even with us beating on it.

I use an Old Smokey grill and a Traeger PTG+ pellet grill. I love smoking 6-8 lb pork butt, chicken and brisket on the pellet grill.

We have a Traeger smoker, too. I love that thing! Only use it at home though. These are electric, so that might not be the thing to use if boondocking.

I bought a Kingsford smoker at Wal-Mart $35 it's ok but it never gets to 250 no matter what I do to it. Luckily camping I am in no rush so just keep the water bowl full.

As a matter of fact I entered a amateur grill off last weekend for our local park days and won first place in ribs and overall winner for ribs and pork loin.

All I can say is that @#$%^ Turbs, Cause of him I spent money on yet another grill. He knows I have a grill addiction, and because of this post, as well as all the PM's he diligently answered all my questions on, I bought this Davy Crockett.

If he had only been rude or ignored me, maybe I would still have some money in my pocket. It's all his fault for being so dang helpful.

Yeah he has that affect!
We bought the GMG Davey Crocket too and I am in love with it!! I bake desserts in it after hubby smokes or grills the dinner! Check out the Blackberry Crisp recipe on their website! I have made it several times!

No not useful if boondocking, but I don't boondock. If you have a generator you can use it. I also carry my charcoal grill too.
