Anyone who would wash their cat in a rest stop IS someone to be avoided, you did well..

My goodness

How did I live to be 63? No shoes, no helmet when I rode a bike, no trophy just because I participated. I wonder how much cow pee I stepped in.

Or chicken poop I stepped in, it's a wonder I'm still alive, all the squirrels I shot dressed and ate as a boy.

i got to go with larryo on this one grew up and still live in the country
shoes not most of the time when at home pick up a small nail just the other day hurt like jello , get to pee just about anywhere handy
drink from a garden hose or in the winter just eat snow when thirsty
pick a tomato or apple wipe with your shirt if you have one on or just polish in your hands and eat
grew up that way, guess i don't know any better

thanks mom and dad

As a young boy up north I never wore shoes, even in the winter. I remember running to school and getting as far as I could before running back home to stand on a hot plate to warm up my feet...it usually took me three to four trips before I got to school.
