Battery disconnect button

What position should it be in?

If it is the push/pull type then push in is disconnected and pull out is connected.....

I'm older and not quick. I prefer to just undo the Black battery cable, rather than always wonder. It. Is no fun to hank crank the front jacks, so it is a reminder.
