tentto, I am serious about wanting to replace mine. If you want to sell it to me let me know. If the price is right, I'll pay the shipping.

We like ours....but we are only cooking for two.
We didn't like the idea of cooking right on the side of the trailer so I found an extension cable for the gas and we put it on a picnic table to bbq. (It's called Camco 57282 10' Propane Quick-Connect Hose.)

I've enjoyed using mine. It is only me in my trailer. While the other campers/ relatives I camp with are still setting up their sites, I can usually have my Friday night "arrival at the campsite" meal cooked and ready to go.
I can then get a jump on starting the camp fire for the night or go for a walk while they finish.

Donanddonna, I would like to sell mine, neatly sitting in the cardboard box in the garage. Used 3 times on two trips. Cost at the dealer $200 cdn but I saw earlier in this string $35 USD plus shipping (which I see you are in Ill which is just the other side of the border) would be do the trick. I'll try to figure out the PM feature and get off this string.

I use my grill. The heat is uneven but you get used to it. As long as lean meats are grilled we have no issues with it. It isn't my Weber grill like at home but as they say a Good Chef doesn't blame his tools.

We just purchased a used travel trailer that is a 2011 and still has the unused grill in the box. I don't know if we will use it since I would have some concerns about all that smoke and grease right next to the camper and under the awning. We are planning on doing some camping in bear country in the future and would not want to attract any wildlife with the awning smelling like a BBQ. Any thoughts on grilling so close to the camper?

We had the Sidekick on our first Jayco TT and it came with a bumper mount arm with rear Quick Connects.....could not cook anything on the top rack of the Sidekick such as bake potatoes or corn on the cob, maybe a hot dog would fit but that's about the amount of room one has.....took the same idea with me when we traded for our 2014 Silverback 33RL, which did not have an outside kitchen, and made a similar arm, bought a Walmart grill for $134, added Quick Connect fittings to our propane lines, and this is what I now am using...works great.

That is about the only thing designed right, you will NOT damage your trailer or collect smoke on your awning. I have been doing it for 3 years, I have used it so much that I bought one from OC at the rally for 70.00 bucks new. I needed a second one....

I have used mine for 6 years. You do have to wash the area with a degreaser every so often. No problem with the awning. The grill is cheap ($90) on Amazon. It does have its hot spots (don't they all). They are small. They don't last long (I'm on my third). BUT! I love the ability to use the RVs propane (I don't run out that often). Its quick, light, and every bit worth it. That is, just the two us.
