Beauflor flooring

We picked up our new Rockwood from RVW on Valentine's Day and were back home a week later. We haven't taken a trip until this past weekend (we had to get our old rv sold first). Part of this trip was to go through all the papers we got with the unit. On the pamphlet for the Beauflor flooring, we are warned to not use a doormat with bitumen. How do we find out if our doormat has this in it?

That may be tough to determine. I think there is an outside chance that any rubber components in the mat may contain traces of petroleum that could eventually break down the Beauflor. If you get a doormat free of rubber you should be safe.

I have the beau floor in my TT, I have been using the cheap dollar store mats and runners for 2 years now with no ill effects. Couldn't tell you what they are made of though.
