Bedspreads and such

If you trade in your RV, do you make sure to include the original bedspreads, pillow shams, etc? My DW wants to know. I only ask manly questions!
Seriously, the reason we are asking is because we are getting ready to go full timing. If we decide to trade a few years down the road, do we need those things? We would really rather not have them taking up room as we have no intention of using them. I think the dealer taking the trade in probably won't care and we could trash them.
What do y'all say?

Everything we don't use, we store, and return it to the RV when we sell. I know the dealer could care less, but if I sell myself, the buyer sometimes does care. Have always done that. Nice to the next owner when everything is practically brand new. In our case, I'm talking all faucets, converter, bedspreads, shams, and on the list goes. I have $1000's in upgrades in this fifth wheel, and the next guy isn't going to get them. Not getting my PI EMS HW50C either. So, I have tupperwear bins with parts and other items taken out of this camper right after we bought it. When we sell, somebody will have some stuff in good shape.

When we bought our Jayco TT the bedspread and shams went in a huge ziplock bag and in the basement of the house. I saw no use for the shams and DW didn't like the pattern on the bedspread so she bought a different one. Come trade in time on our Sabre we put the original bedspread and shams back on the bed. Personally I don't think the dealer cared less as long as there was some kind of bedspread on the bed.

We'd only had our V-Lite 8 months when we traded it for the 5er, so I still had the original "auto slide" bedspread and shams. We put 'em back on. We did leave the new shower head on, since I couldn't find the original one.

auto slide=it always ended up on the floor at the foot of the bed, 10 minutes crawlin' under it you'da thought it had roller bearings on the underside

We also put the absolutely new/unused RVQ back in it

When we ordered our TH we did not pay the extra for them (spred etc) since we knew we would not use them, so we never had any to begin with.

When we traded our old trailer the dealer never went inside but we left the ones that were in it when we bought it.

I think we use two or three of the small decorative pillows. Everything else was placed in a bag and stored for when we sell. Thought we were the only ones that did this. Clearly not.

I think we are the only ones that actually like the bedspread, as it co-ordinates with all the other stuff. Particularly the upholstered headboard.

All the pillows and such did go in a bag in the basement...

My DW loves decor and accessorizing, so we use both the spread and pillows that came with ours. She added other accent pillows for when we aren't sleeping in it and the comforter we bought matches the interior and the other stuff quite well. The spread that came with it gets folded over about halfway up the bed over the top of the one we bought, there for full use if it gets cold at night (she has fan on high and AC going).

So the bed is made and "oh so pretty" when not being slept in, and then put excess pillows in closet when ready for bed.

Well, we decided to get those vacuum bags that squeeze everything down to a manageable size. We'll keep the stuff in the RV in case we decide to trade it while on the road somewhere! Thanks again for your responses!

Since we never had them we could care less. We camp not to spend time making things look pretty....... so glad the DW is a farm girl with 4 older brothers Nothing here pretty but instead if its here its practical & used.

I feel ya on that! Practicality is big when concerning space, weight, etc, and the whole unwinding and relaxing thing that camping brings with it!

But she's got me broken down after all these years! Admittedly she/we have done a nice job decorating, and it's nice to come inside to the beauty of it all..like a second home for us. Part of our breakdown process is cleaning it up like new before we leave the site. She handles most of inside (I help throughout the trip to keep things tidy as well as some help at end) while I do the outside breakdown, and it works out well for us

She's a neat freak but I love and appreciate her so much!
