Best site to search for used travel trailer?
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good website for searching for used travel trailers? I am narrowed my search to a few specific models, have tried RVT.com and rvtrader.com, even craigslist searching nationwide but not getting any hits. It could just be that there are none available that I am searching for. But if anyone has another website recommendation I would be appreciative...
I would like to buy a new one, but this has been a year from h&*L for me with vehicle repairs/replacement so looking to save a few bucks on a gently used one. We like our 2013 Salem 27RKBSS but would like to move up to a RL or RE floorplan with opposing slides, and I want to try fiberglass/aluminum construction instead of stick and tin for a change.

I can't think of just one website for research on TT but for used units, I would try PPL.
They have the best website for used RV that I have found. Good Luck

Try lots of sites, seems like Craig's list has the most for sale local in my area.

I was searching only my local area on CL... then found a website that allows you to search CL nationwide and got multiple hits on the models I am considering... right now that seems to be my best option. thanks everyone for the recommendations... I was unaware of the PPL site as well. they have a ton of units, nothing I am looking for right now but I can keep checking it periodically...

PPL Motorhomes is their name in Texas. They sell all types of Rvs on consignment and show pictures & floor plans for each.

How close are you to Canada? With the low Canadian dollar you may be able to get a great deal up here. Check out Kijiji.ca to have a look.

Also check out out classifieds here as a forum member may have something for you. You could try eBay as well. Another option is to just google the trailer you are looking for. Sometimes ads appear that way

Willietx, Thank you for the information. I just looked them up. I know we have only had our 23IKSS for 2 years but I see it getting a little harder for DH to hitch up, etc. The driving is done by me so I am thinking about a motorhome in a couple of years. I have driven only 24 footers in Alaska but think we might need something a little bigger down here. I would like to go out with a friend or two and am looking into units with twin beds and/or bunk beds as well.

I don't think that you will get a good deal in Canada. Even with the US dollar so strong
things in Canada are a lot more expensive. I know people who buy RVs in the US and pay the import fees and it is still a lower cost then they can get Canada. Good Luck

Try searchtempest. Put in exactly what you're looking for and how far you are willing to travel. It searches all of Craigslist and classifieds all in one place. Good luck!

WHJ - I agree with you for new but not for used. We winter in Texas and I have looked at the price of used down there as compared to home and that it is generally cheaper up north. No harm and costs nothing in looking at the site I mentioned.

used rvs
CrankyApe.com look to see if you have one close by. You will have to inspect it yourself or hire someone to do it. Mostly repo but some owner stuff.
