RV Park Reviews - Trusted Reviews of Campgrounds & RV Parks
This lists virtually every campground available with reviews, so might be helpful to you.
I like the graphic interface that lets you drill down by location and the reviews are helpful if you take em with a grain of salt.

We LOVED Lion Country Safari. We only spent 2 nights there but we really enjoyed it.

Thanks! I took your advice, and booked us there for an overnight in Feb. 2015.
We are heading home from Key West to Maryland and unfortunately will be quick.

Our trip home to MD from Key West took 3 days and 2 overnight stops.

We drove from Key West to Jacksonville, FL and stayed at Pecan Park RV. It was right about 500 miles/11 1/2 hours of driving.

Then we drove to Roanoke Rapids, NC at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads. Again it was about 500 miles and equal time.

Then we drove home to MD. We finished with 225 miles the last day.

Each overnight was a late arrival (10-11pm) and a 9-10am departure.

Yeah, we are spreading it out to 4 nights, or 5 days.
I don't want to completely ruin my vacation buzz!

1) Key West to Lion Country, West Palm Beach.
2) St. Augustine, FL.
3) West of Charlestown, Walterboro, SC.
4) South of Raleigh, Selma, NC.
5) Home, MD.

Not sure about spraying for bugs . I'm only here in winter months. I honestly can't fathom camping on Florida during summer.

Nice. Report back with where you stay at each location. I'm always looking for route/stopover ideas.

That is why you need to get on the water with a nice breeze & have AC available... but camping in FL in the summer is nice simply because the campgrounds are not jam packed with people!

We just can't say enough about this resort and it is a resort not an RV park!

I also recommend Sun N Fun, and we've only been there for weekend trips with our kids. Great place with amenities for everyone!
