Another good resource is Reserve America. Can make reservations at State and National Parks. Good "Free" resource.

I forgot about ReservedAmerica. Some of the lisitings do include pictures of sites & campground.

Use Reserve America most of the time and the Koa occasionally. I find the Campground we want to go to, if its a new one, then go to google earth and look at the campground. I look for the leeward side of the campground and is there anything in the way when backing camper in or putting awning or slides out. The hunt for the perfect site is a lot of work on the computer, years ago it was just a gamble, now you pretty much know how things should go when you get there.
This makes the fun there start quicker and the setup go faster.

I also like RV Park Reviews. As with anything else that is user-created, read specific reviews with a grain of salt. If there is a trend, however, it might be worth taking into account.
