Best way to travel through Oklahoma City, OK

We will be traveling to Texas (near Austin) through Oklahoma City, OK by car (not Motorhome) in about a week. We plan to stay in Moore, OK for the first night. Should we go directly through the city on I-35; OR go around to the West taking I-44 W and I-235 S connecting back to I-35 to Moore. Approximate travel time through the city is 2-4 PM. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Patrick

I normally take I40 through OKcity which isn't usually bad. I have noticed the I44 - I40 interchange area is frequently backed up. I would just stay on I35. I wouldn't think it would be any better or worse.

Smile Traveling through Oklahoma City, OK

Thanks, looks like about 20-25 miles to where we need to go once we hit I-44; so will just follow I-35 to Moore.
