BF Goodrich all terrain tires

Thinking about upgrading to a light truck tire on my 1500 crew silverado. Have 18" Bridgestone at. Just wondering how the BF Goodrich at`s ride on the 1/2 tons. Curious about the ride and noise. I assume the ride will be stiffer and more noise, but is it excessive. I will probably stay with the factory 265 size.

I have BF Goodrich AT's on my 05 Silverado Z78, They are not very noisy, I only hear a small wine on a certain pavment some times. You have to listen for it. I run my tires at max inflation so they all seemed stiff. The plus side is you can run them at 80 psi. I like them and when they wear out I'll put them on again. Good tire.

You will like the bfg's. i had them on an 05 Explorer in a "C" rating. I have them now on the X in an "E" rating. No noticeable noise, keep them rotated and they are excellent!

Been using Bfg at's for along time,love them. Oh and by the way they are made in the USA a quality not so easy to come by.

I had them on a Dodge 1500 and Chevy Tahoe. Loved them on both. Got pretty good wear out of them, but not as good as a less aggressive tire or the Hankook A/T's I went to now.

The BFG A/T KO was amazing in almost all situations. It made boat ramps easy, tore through amazingly deep snow and was great in actual off road situations. The guy who bought my Tahoe took them off because he said they were too aggressive and replaced with Michelins and promptly got stuck in his own driveway.

FWIW - I have also run General Grabber 2's (which look like a clone of the BFG A/T KO) and actually liked them better. This was on a cheap Montero I had and did not want to pay for the BFG's. I thought General's were every bit as good in every situation but cheaper.

On my current rig I run Hankook Dynapro ATM's and am amazed at these tires.

I ran them on my Tundra in 18" load E and loved them for towing, much better than the stock tires that were on it. As far as noise, I don't know that I ever heard them to be honest with you, never have on any of the last few vehicles I have had them on. I'd say you will be pleased with them.

I have BFG Rugged Trail T/A's on my 2000 Silverado 1/2 ton. I really like them. Don't know what the difference is between these and the all terrain, but I will be putting these back on when they need replacement and also on my 2002 GMC 3/4 ton when it is due for new tires.

I don't.know the tec. Difference but I had a set, and they lasted a realllly long time,have to guess they are a harder compound,and a really good road tire.

The rugged trails have a bit tamer tread than the A/T`s. the A/T`s are a great off road tire and good on road. the rugged trail is a good on road/ off road tire. if you see alot of off pavement travel then the A/T`s are the way to go. if you just do occasional off highway travel then you will like the rugged trails.

I had a couple of sets of 35" KO's on an F350 a few years ago. Quiet, smooth ride, good tread life. They are good in rain, sand and mud. I just replaced a set of 31's on my jeep this weekend. I don't drive the jeep much so the old set purchased in 2002 only had 10000 miles. They were dry rotted and cracked and leaking air, so I drove down to Discount where I bought them 11 years ago. The salesman refused to work on them because they were so old, can't really blame him. So because I had a lifetime replacement warranty he swapped out the two leakers for free and discounted the other two by $30 each. I drove out with a new set for $350!

They also started making a rugged terrain tire a couple years ago, a little more aggressive than rugged trails, but not as aggressive as the TA/KO's. I went with the rugged terrains since I do mostly highway driving but like to get on a trail every now and then. I've had no problem in light mud and snow. They are relatively quite and depending how much air pressure you run, they get pretty stiff. I run mine at 50 psi when I'm not towing. And up them to 60 psi when pulling the camper for the added stiffness.
