bicycle mount on rear bumper

Is it ok to use a bumper bicycle carrier (2 adult bikes) on a TT ?, Its the type that would extend beyond the spare tire carrier

I would not recommend having a bike rack on the bumper because after a wile the bumper will fall of. We have a hitch on the back of our TT and then we hook the bike rack to it

Ditto... have a receiver hitch installed, don't trust the bumpers

The hollow bumpers are usually only rated for 100lbs. A spare tire and the holder take most of that.

Thanks Herk7796! I taught to buy the front or the back one but at the end I'll keep all the bikes inside of the TT. They are dry and cheaper then buying the big rack.

Forest River's Salem tech support said the bumper was designed to hold nothing more then a spare tire. Attaching or modifying it would void my warranty. Not sure about other brands/models...

This is certainly true regarding ALL Utralights (TT and 5th wheel). In fact, they go on to say modifying the FRAME in any way will void the warranty. Adding a Frame hitch to an ultra-lite is also "Not Recommended" and will void the frame warranty. Though many do and have no issues, the I-Beam web on these trailers are only thick enough to support the GVW of the camper.

Depending on the length of the camper, I assume that adding a significant weight at the end of a moment arm that long would cause undue stress at the rear axle supports and eventually cause I-Beam fractures.

How about a bike rack designed for your rear ladder (if you have one). I've seen a couple that look decent and aren't too expensive.
