I use a old towel and try a dog or cat flea coller cut into 3 inch strips placed in areas that you don't wont wasp's it keeps them out for a season. You do need to replace every season but works great.

We stapled window screen to velcro and put it around the sides of the pin box and covered the two holes. Stays in place while traveling.

I use a piece of 1/2" hardware cloth and have it cut so it fits snug.
