I agree....but who makes a white awning fabric? The closest I think you'll get is either the checkered flag which is still 50% black or the "rodeo" one which is ugly as all get out We had the lightest color before, "Sandstone" and it still put off a good amount of radiant heat in full sun. You could always go custom I guess.

The black Dometic vinyl fabric that FR is using (Rockwood at least) has the black weathershield. Even if it had the white weathershield that's only the top foot or so that you see when retracted.

In a few years the designs will all be cabk to white trim and accesories but first they need to go back through "colonial" white first.

I believe one was the Maroon and the other Sandstone. All the colors in the vinyl selections are towards the darker side and even if ordered with the white weather shield it will not make much of a difference.

I was always a huge critic of the black trim and accessories but we ended up with it on this 2017 Roo.......Even if we did not go with the Sapphire package and went with standard white fiberglass you still get the black trim, awning, and accessories.

Seadog, I don't think you can reverse it due to the way the splines are sewn on the roller side.

My post may have been confusing my thought was to have the tarp guy cut the end at the roller and and top seam, sew it back after turning the fabric over so center would be white with 12" or so black at both ends, so that when rolled up still has the black covering.

I guess I've never thought about it but I have a dark colored awning and black covers on my ACs with a tan roof. This past weekend it was in the high 90's with 100% humidity. It was miserable to be anywhere outside (even in the shade) but the inside the trailer it was reasonably cool.
