Blue Ridge, GA

I'm heading toward Blue Ridge in the N GA mountains. Any suggestions on things that are a "must do" in the area? Towns close by worth visiting?

Many Thanks!

The town of Blue Ridge is a quaint little town. They have a train there that you can take for an excursion. I’ve never been on it, but we rented a cabin on a river and the train went by each way several times per day.

There is plenty to see and do in the area. if you like hiking Anna ruby falls is nice. Also there is. Amicola falls . You can visit the quaint town of Helen which is set in a German. Lots of good German food. Also stop in at the local Chamber of Commerce and get ya some literature of the area. Later RJD

Dahlonega GA was the gold capital of the US before the California Gold rush. A state park museum is set in the original courthouse worth seeing along with the Consolidated Gold mine tour.
