You'll love it there. We went last year, all the kids want to do is go back there. Beautiful place, sites, pool, lake, etc. Close drive to pigeon forge. We will go back there again.

We LOVE Pigeon Forge. That's where my husband and I went on our honeymoon and we go back every December for our Anniversary. We took our son on his first trip there this past year and he absolutely loved it. We'll probably spend one day there also. Can't miss out on eating at the Applebarn The campground looks amazing by the photos. Going to try and talk my grandparents into reserving the site next to us.

The Apple Barn is the place we go, hot apple turnovers with ice cream is hard to beat. We have never ate at the Apple Barn restaurant, we will have to give that a try

We have eaten at both. They are basically the same thing. One is newer than the other but they both have great food!

The Dw and kids and I are also heading there in April. 2-9. Can't wait. The place looks amazing. It will also be our first trip towing with our new ram 2500. It's about 575 miles for us which is by far our longest trip with the tt. I'm just hoping for warm weather so the Dw doesn't complain about the cold. We usually spend our spring break on the beach in Florida but I convinced her to try out Tennesse this year.

Looks like you picked a very nice spot for your "First Trip" The first time out with a new rig there is fun, excitement, surprises and is unique in that there is only one "First Trip" with that rig. Happy Camping

It never gets old! We started about 4 years ago and we are just excited about our first trip this year as we were the first time. Some times booking them is almost as fun.

Congratulations. My wife and I just got back from our first trip...to see her sister in Florida. Turned out to be a wonderful trip and we look forward to getting back out cross country in April (from Tennessee to Washington state).

Hope your 1st trip in the new coach is the best one yet. Thanks for mentioning Anchor Down as I put it on our "strong possibility" list. Not a fan of P-Forge or any tourist area (maybe because I live an hour from Myrtle Beach) but it looks good for late spring or early fall when school is in session.

We have camped before in my grandparents rig but this will be our "first" in our very own camper. We are in Upstate SC so it's about a three hour ride for us without the camper. We are having some warm weather here this weekend and it's my son's bd party Sunday so we might do some driveway camping
