I have a tent they can barrow. My thing is, I have seen people with the attitude that it's not mine it don't matter. I mean little things (I see this at work all the time) so one will spill coffee and not clean it up, or I vacuum the floor before bringing in the slides, will they? Nope I'm not letting anyone not even the kids borrow my RV.

We lent out our pop up a few years ago and they broke one of the cabinet doors and didn't offer to fix it. We will never loan out our camper.

Absolutely NOT...camper is not as mindless as staying in a hotel room especially for those who don't understand the meticulous procedures with owning/operating a camper.

All I got to say is NO. When people cannot even borrow a flat deck car hauler from me and bring it back without wrecking the tongue jack I sure would not lend something that actually requires a brain to operate.

I lent out our 39' 2013 Sanibel to our son for a week. He returned it in a complete mess. The electrical system was completely fried, the carpet covered in mud and dog excrement, two of the tires had nails in them and developed a slow leak, the right side of the until was scrapped up from where he sided a tree, the awning was gone, the rear end was crushed in, two of the slam hatch doors were missing, one door on our refrigerator was torn from the hinges. I could go on, but am recently recovering over the heart attack this issue brought on. Any way, I was awaken by my wife who realized I was having a terrible nightmare. Thank goodness it was only a bad dream. My final answer is hell no!

If anyone would ever consider doing this, I highly recommend you watch the movie RV with Robin Williams. Then make your decision!
Or better yet, watch "Race With the Devil," starring Peter Fonda and Loretta Swit. Great motor home movie. And just as scary as loaning out your RV.

Yep, when you loan you camper out you take a big risk on how it will be returned. There are certain family members (very few) I would trust. I know if anything was broken or dirty, they would take care of it. The problem is other family members that would be offended if I loaned it to one and not them. To keep peace in the family and my peace of mind, I don't loan it to anyone.

I can't believe the nerve of some people to even ask. I have a close friend, known him for about 13 years. He and I have a "policy", if one of us needs to borrow a tool and we know the other one has it, we have standing permission to enter the other's shed/garage, borrow said tool and promptly return it to it's original place in it's original condition. We don't even need to ask each other anymore. We just go get it. This has worked out well for us over the years and over time we have come to depend on using something the other might have already purchased. Never had one issue between the two of us. Now, borrowing a camper or a boat is another story. He'd never ask because he's that kind of a person................and he knows there are some boundaries that just shouldn't be crossed.

I have a few friends that have pulled trailers, been camping and know how to take care of equipment that I would not have any issue with borrowing it. They have borrowed stuff from me before and always returned it in same or better shape and vice versa. The list of who I would let borrow it is very small tho.
