Brake Control up-grade for TV
At present I have a Tekonsha Voyager Brake Control installed in the TV and it seems to work OK on short hauls but I'm not comfortable with relaying on how close you can get the LED light to the correct color. Seams like I'm always adjusting it. (yes I have read and follow the instructions in the manual). Before we leave on a 3 week adventure the 20th of this month I want to up-grade our BC to one which is easier to calibrate and consistent in its reading/output.
I am not looking for one that will stop a rocket ship (disc breaks will be on our next TT) and complete a 1000 diagnostics.
Any thoughts and/or recommendations on a reliable BC?
Thanks for your inputs.

I heartily recommend the Tekonsha P3. I've used one on the last several trailers and now it's being used on the new 5th wheel and it works great.

I've used the Prodigy P2 for years on all sorts of multi axle trailers ... both work and pleasure and has always worked great for me.

Definitely a P3 or a P2, I used to have a voyageur BC on my previous TV. It only tells your brake is applied. But different TV now and needed a BC, so I've ordered one from Amazon for $130. The diagnostic feature told me only one set of trailer brakes was functioning(back), found the other set's connectors were not completely pushed in from the factory. So now I have brand new brakes in the front after 3 yrs and now both sets work now like it should be.

Prodigy is what I had with my TT and earlier TV. Worked quit well and the interface was plug and play with stock wiring.

I had a Voyager for years and it finally just quit working in the middle of a trip to Oregon. I also was never happy trying to level it when swapping between the 5er and my hay trailer. Replaced it with a P3 and am very happy. Easy to set up, adjustable "boost" for different trailers and road conditions and braking is much smoother.

Another happy P3 owner here. Our dealer installed the Voyager when we bought our Shamrock last summer and it never seemed right. I was always fiddling with the settings and never getting it right for all conditions. I hated it.
I replaced the Voyager with a P3 this spring and it made a huge difference. Set it and forget it.

Since you already have Tekonsha it's easy
for you to up-grade to the Tekonsha Prodigy 3 I find that it is easy to set up and read the numbers when you set it up and it works in reverse also.
I've used it for 4 yrs.

I had a Voyager in my 91 F350. I put one in my Liberty. It worked. Now that the Ram fas an IBC, wow! I can see how a better brake controller can be.

Big difference between proportional and time delay. For those still rocking the wood grain brake controllers, check out the P3.
