Brake controller?

I currently have a Tekonsha brake controller.

Any thoughts on this model? It is some what of a pain to get dialed in.

I would not be against upgrading to a better user friendly model.

Thanks,

Randy

Which one do you have? I've got the P3 and had no problems setting it up.

I have one that was in my pickup when I bought it. I'm looking at upgrading as well. I try and dial it in but it's eather too much brake or not near enough.

I'm not sure. It was installed by the rv dealer when I bought the TT. The paperwork does not state what model. I am going to try to attach some pics.

It's not a P3. It looks like a Voyager. See the currently available Tekonsha models here:

Tekonsha Brake Controller | etrailer.com

Looks like the mounting is restricted a bit more on this one than some of the others.

Definitely a voyager.I have one, it's not the fanciest. With some adjustments, it works fine for me.

It is a Voyager. I went ahead and installed a P3 today. I'm looking forward to using it next week on our trip to Colorado.

The P3 is awesome. If my truck didn't have an integrated controller I would have on in it. One of the best that I've ever used

We also have a tekonsha. It was installed by our mechanic before picking up our tt. We've never used one before and had a little trouble getting it set right but once set it worked great.

Tekonsha makes a lot of great Brake Controllers.. Seems the P3 and P2 are top of the line, I ended up picking up a Tekonsha 90160 Primus IQ Brake Control for like $95 on Amazon. -- Dealer wanted $140 for it.

But they ended up setting it for me before I left. They had it set on like 2.5 and it seems to be about perfect for my trailer.

After just returning from our trip to Colorado, I must say the P3 worked great. I had to change the power boost to zero, but other than that I never had any issues.
