What year was your Silverado? My '13 has a 36 gallon tank.

Thanks in advance. So excited to "hit the road".
This is the best place for info. After your first incident, post a query, wait for the response then post a query on your 2nd problem, then the 3rd and so on, just like the rest of us. After a while you get to know a lot more than you currently do and will come to the realisation that you haven't just bought a mobile fun palace or a home-away-from-home, but an educational experience that keeps on giving.

Howdy and welcome from Kentucky.. like many recommend, try your driveway first if you can.. when/if you do, try to avoid going into the house, and it’ll help you find what you really need.
My first trailer the dealer had a few sites on their lot for your first night. Our latest dealer paid for a night at a local campground. Both times it helped us find any issues, etc.

I’d recommend finding places nearby home for the first few trips, to help build confidence and your routine (you’ll find one that works for you). Then work your way further and further.. most of our camping is within an hour of home.

Gas tank size depends on bed size and/or if a bigger one is an option. My short bed Silverado is 26 gallons. I know Ram and Ford allow you to get a bigger tank as an option.

My personal favorite app is Allstays. There are a number of them. I personally have five of them. Total cost was under $20 and totally worth it. I also have Sams, but it's pretty worthless.
