Bunk insulation - under mattress

My daughter's bunk is over top of the outside kitchen. Is there anything that I can put under the mattress to help keep her warmer in cold weather and cooler in hot weather? Would a stapled down layer of Reflectix help? Other ideas?

Had a similar problem with my slide out kitchen on my popup. Close up the kitchen at night as all the insulation that you are looking for is in the door.

Thanks, Honda. I never even considered it to make a difference, but we do close it each night. Still seems to be a lot of temperature swing on her bunk.

Doug, i used 1/4 inch foam insulation, that has foil on one side.
it's available at HD or Lowe's.

i put it under the mattress on the bunk end of our hybrid TT.

try both ways. foil side up should reflect body heat.
it's different with a hybrid, since the bunk door is exposed to outside temp.

Thanks, it's a little exposed but not like a hybrid bunk.
