Buying a new RV unpainted
I am going to buy a new FR Georgetown in a few months, and have pretty much decided to order it unpainted. The FR rep says the fiberglass is treated so that weather will effect it even less than a painted coach. It will be an off-white vanilla color. I don't care for the swirly designs and like not worrying about the pinstriping and paint ever peeling. And I sure don't want it even partially painted black to attract the summer heat as they usually are. Anyone have comments about this?

Totally agree with with you about the swirl patterns and colors being used. To me they are particularly garish and grotesque. I have the standard exterior and couldn't be happier with my vanilla wrapper

Off white... hope you don't have flys in your area.
We own a white truck and trailers. Covered with flys and fly crap when they hatch would be an understatement.
would rather just have a painted unit less the graphics but thats me

What happens when you want to sell it. No one will want it.

Thats you opinion Selkirk. Mine is Gel-coat whit with decals and it looks pretty good. I didn't feel like I wanted to spend about $4,000 extra for paint that your not going to get back anyways. After used the only thing that matters is mileage and condition.

x2 poppy. I would think any place OP goes a plain off white(no decal) rig would be an eyecatcher. I think there was a thread a while ago about someones vintage white rig and the attention it grabbed

Our Sunseeker has the full paint,,, I really like it much better than the Flagstaff TT we had in the past,,, it was unpainted with decals that just keep shrinking,,, The full paint is much easer to keep looking good !!!

No plain white for me. It always looks like someone couldn’t afford to have it painted and on top of that, it's boring. Everyone has an opinion and that is mine . I've had the stickers and they are worse than just plain old white because they shrink and peel off.

I'd be happy with an all black unit, granted I'd have to ad a third A/C, but it look cool.

I know I'm always washing my black van and black truck. Wife's white car always looks clean, not that she'd wash it anyways.
