SAFETY, Been camping for a week, and had a snap of cold weather last night.
This morning as my wonderful wife was stepping out the door, on the last step, placing her foot on the wipe your feet rug, that was on top of our larger RV outdoor rug/mat, Zing BANG, and
BOOM she had fallen and was on her side.
I flew out the door to see that she was okay (SHE WAS) and what happened. When I looked things over I found out just how dangerous that combo was.
The breathable mat close to the ground tramped some moisture that was held in place by the top rug. Over night that moisture froze and became ice...and with that first step......it was like stepping onto an ice rink.
I'm thankful she is okay, and thankful we are on the young side, if that would have been an older camper....that could have been ugly.
