Just got back to my campsite after having to drive home to shoot a raccoon out of a tree in my backyard. Lots of new arrivals as the weekend is here. Anyway there's a guy setting up his pop up across the street and he's blaring Lady Gaga! BTW the only reason I knew it was Lady Gaga is that my 12 year old told me. The least this guy could have done was play a little country music or classic rock would have been nice too. So I stare the guy down from my campsite for about 15 minutes, every time he looks up from what he's doing I'm looking at him. Finally he gets the hint and turns it off. Lady Gaga....give me a break! If you have to use the dump station or visit the office to check out, that takes some time too.

Haha, this weekend the dump station is right next to the CG host. There was a prominent sign saying to shut down while dumping. Party poopers!

So our first real full timer adventure and we drive down to Bowling Green KY to pick up our MH and start our midlife adventure. We get into the camp site just as the sun is setting and are half setup and there is no water. Crap put everything back in and move to another site and our dog starts barking at the dog across the street. We are worn out and I already fell out if the MH(long story) and can hardly walk. We get set up and Cooper won't shut up. Plus every time I lock or unlock the car the stupid lights shine into the 5th wheel windows across the street where Cooper is still barking. All I can think of is this thread and how they must think we are awful people. I went out this morning to apologize to them but they were already gone.
I guess the point is sometime rude loud people are just tired and not awful. It will get better.

I would think any camper could see you were just getting there and setting up. Totally understandable. I think we all have had long hard drives /days at some point. Not like your dog was barking all night or you had your aircraft landing lights on all night.

Redtop Mountain State Park in North Ga. Nice place, clean, good sites but you can tell it's older, narrow roads, smallish sites, etc. Still, I'd go back tomorrow, it's part of a COE lake, Allatoona. The sites were well maintained and in great shape. The view from my site was great, about 50 vertical feet above the water and probably 200 feet away without having to walk through anyones site to get there.
And while narrow, the roads were easily manageable. I got my 38' bucket through with no issues.

I want my own RV space right out there on that island! Furnish a ferry boat to take us out there, then leave us be for a month or thirty.
We'll send up smoke signals when we need to come in for more groceries!
Oh, and we'll need it to be full service hookups.
