Yeah. We hauled a few of those blue/green Arkansas diamonds home too. One was a door stop in our house for years.

Been noticing this building for a few years now, even had it in Disney's Fort Wilderness I told the kids there that it was considered rude to do this and they apologized and did not do it again but I am still a believer in manners and kids need to be thought at home, don't know what the answer is about the adults though and of course if the adults are ignorant the kids don't stand a chance.

Last week at Silver Creek RV Resort near Silver Lake Michigan, we saw an older woman, not once, but twice walk through our site but we were inside both times and weren't able to correct her rudeness. The second time she walked between the picnic table and the RV. Couldn't believe it from someone older. Fortunately I've been a Boy Scout leader for 17 years and have taught hundreds of boys camp etiquette that hopefully will be passed down to other generations.

You got it. The hardest job in the world and you don't need any qualifications!

Part of the problem is that if you look at the parents, they're as bad as the kids.

Red face

I'm a reader. Not necessarily books, novels or newspapers, but I read owner's manuals, assembly instructions and pamplets. I have noticed that a lot of the camp grounds we stay at have this very rule written in the literature they give you at checkin. With the map and television lineup there's usually a little section with cg rules. No loud music after 10PM, Pick up after your dog, No washing rig in cg, etc. And right in among there is "Do not walk through other camper's rv spots." Guess a lot of the parents don't read it to their kids.

Nobody tried to sush it, they all just ignored it...except for my neighbor who yelled out and 7AM "Shut that F#$%^&*G Dog up before I do it!" At that point I just laughed and had morning nookie with DW, we were up anyway so I guess it wasn't all that bad. Come to think of it, I hope we have a small yippie dog across from us next weekend!

Oh and my answer to the singing...Just sing louder and worse than they do. It's actually kinda fun. Don't get mad, get evener!

I am dying laughing over here!! What campground will you be in next weekend.... I can arrange to bring my two yippy poodles!! (They too yip at everything that goes by! (But we do shush them!))

With that said....when we camp, and they are inside the unit, I kennel them up...yes they love the kennel....then I turn on the radio to my favorite tunes....okay, my DH turns it on his fav tunes, cause he says they shouldn't be subjected to pop music....., just enough that they don't hear the closer outside noises. It works great! Thank goodness cause I really love my little poodles! Taking them to the FROG Rally in Goshen IN again this year! I think my PPST neighbors were ok with them....
I wish my dogs were like Capt'n Mikes dog....his sits in the window for hours, and NEVER barks! Cutest thing ever! What a great puppy!

What lake/dam is that? Looks like Wright Patman dam...but that may be a generic dam.

i'd rather have the bug zappers and the people walking through my yard , it gives me a chance to meet new people Now the people that bring their doggies and let them bark and let them poop in the common ground now that is more rude to me

I watched a woman from a site down the road, walk up to the camper next to mine, put her hand against the window glass to block the sun and take a long look inside while the people were gone. She did this with me, on my site in full view. She acted like she was on a dealer's lot, shopping for a new camper.

Lake of the Pines actually...thought it was Wright Patman but it's not. Just outside Jefferson, TX.

We're in the Buck Horne Creek RV Park at the end of Ferrell's Bridge dam road.

Close then Weezer. 50-60 miles away. I have been through that area and talked about fishing, but never have. Maybe someday. I hear lots of good stuff about it.
