We dodged the ice here. Mainly sleet, now snow. I'm guessing 2" of sleet and at least 1", maybe 2" of snow. We're having wind gust up to 40 mph so it's hard to tell. It's suppose to keep snowing until late this afternoon, so we'll see what we end up with.
Some parts of Tulsa (approx 80 miles north of where I live) have 10" or more of snow already.

Charlie, good luck to you. around here the limbs and power lines start breaking with " of ice. " of ice and there are quite a few power outages.

Here's a couple of pics taken at about 8 am. I took these pretty quick since it's 16 with wind chills below 0!

Lou, please send pics!!!!

Mother Nature can sure be finicky at times. Looks like it's going to be a long unpredictable winter.

Thanks Lou. Good to see it's not miserable everywhere. If you can send some of that warm weather up the coast we'd all appreciate it!

Have a few more.

We a are at Patrick AFB today. while it could hit 80, the Famcamp is right next to the firing range. Poor Bella is having fits and the Airborne Command Post 747 is parked on the ramp right next to the campground. He has had one engine and their APU running since we got here. Oh, well what do you expect for 10 bucks a night. We leave on Thursday for Miami. 106 bucks for one night at the Everglades campground. Then Sigsbee Key in Key West. Film at eleven...

Gary, I guess this means that we can't expect you to get your fan out next time it turns warm there.

Good luck with things there......it looks wicked.

Not all roses for sure. Here is my Fort Bragg campground experience.

Won't be back there any time soon.

I'll still share.

When I took the pics I posted I was thinking we had 3"-4", but it was hard to tell with the wind blowing the snow around. Just heard on the news we officially received 10" total, at least 2" of that was sleet!

The sun has peaked out a few times but with the temp staying at 17 or below, it's not melting anything. Work and schools have been officially closed again for tomorrow.

Parts of I-40 (in eastern Okla), I-44 (turnpike between OKC and Joplin, Mo.) and the Muskogee Turnpike (between Muskogee and Tulsa) have been shut down due to the road conditions and stranded motorist.

Tulsa beat their 24 hour snowfall record of 12" with a 13.2" snowfall. It also surpassed their average snowfall for the month of Feb!!!!!

Everybody stay safe and warm!

P.S. Remember Lou. The worst day camping........
